Dear Friends, Students, and Family,

We all have to do our part:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the need to respond further to the Coronavirus pandemic. RCW has always been a place about community and we feel it necessary to play our role in diminishing the spread of this deadly virus. There’s no worse scenario we can envision than one where any student or family member falls ill because of our inaction.

Our healthcare system needs people to step up and take some of the burden off their constrained beds and supplies. Just this morning Kaiser Permanente announced they won’t be treating anyone for non-urgent conditions to free up resources as they prepare for an onslaught of Covid-19 patients.

After thoughtful consideration because of these conditions: We will be closed from March 16th – April 1st.

Owning a small business and running RCW for over 11 years has been a tremendous learning experience for myself and our staff. There’s nothing that fills us with more pride and joy than showing up to serve our community every day. It’s with much humility I have to lay bare that a loss in memberships would be devastating for us. We understand that everyone’s financial situation is different but we’re asking for your support during these trying times. We want RCW to be a place you can return to when this viral storm passes.

Finally we are considering numerous options on how to repay your generosity during this time. Right now Professor Erik and I are brainstorming ways to give back to all our students. We plan to do some grand opening seminars that will be free to students, offer reduced or free private lessons, and extend free time for those of you on a membership. As coincidence would have it we’ve been working for a few months on putting all our curriculum on video. Currently we plan to take this time to rush something out to all of you who can’t train with us directly at the moment.

We believe that if all of us do our part, we will get through this together.

If you have any questions please email Professor Joe or Erik at RiverCityWarrior@gmail.com
